Corrosion Resistant Disc Springs

The standard range of stainless steel disc springs are manufactured from X12CrNi 17 7 (DIN 1.4310) at thicknesses up to 1.25mm and from 1.25mm upwards from X7CrNiAl 17 7 (DIN 1.4568).

The two tables below display the standard stock range available.

Disc springs can also be manufactured from other stainless steels types, please see the current disc spring materials table for possible options. Please contact us if you have applications that may require the use of even more exotic materials.


X12CrNi 17 7 (DIN 1.4310)

X12CrNi 17 7 to DIN 17 224 is a chrome-nickel alloy commonly used for corrosion resistant disc springs, The material gains its strength from cold rolling, therefore its maximum thickness must be limited. Parts manufactured from this material will have a degree of magnetism due to the cold rolling process.

X7CrNiAl 17 7 (DIN 1.4568)

X7CrNiAl 17 7 to DIN 17 224 is a precipitation-hardened, corrosion resistant spring steel. It obtains its strength from cold rolling and precipitation hardening, This material ih strongly magnetic and cold working increases this further.
